Phare, 11 days old.

Meet little Phare and her lovely parents. I really enjoyed this session, which took place in their home. I’ve shared some of my favourite images, some of which have more of a ‘lifestyle’ feel to them than my usual work – capturing the daily goings-on of life at home with a baby.

3 gorgeous boys and a dog called Charlie.

A recent family session that I really enjoyed. The boys were awesome and Charlie the dog was pretty great too!

Baby June, at 11 days.

Baby June is the lucky bub who joined this little family late last year. She was so alert and aware for half the session, then fast asleep in her Mama’s arms for the second half. Just lovely!

Archer, just 10 days new.

I was so sad I didn’t get in quick enough to photograph this gorgeous Mama before she had Archie, but on the upside, it meant I got some sweet newborn cuddles sooner than expected!

3 times the fun!

…and three times the energy!

I’ve photographed this family three times now, and they are so much fun. These kids have lots of energy. Like, lots and lots. It’s always a great session with plenty of giggles and tickles, and crazy faces from Dad to get them laughing (thanks Dad!). I think you can tell from the photos just what a happy family they are.

We had the session in their beautiful, light-filled home, which is great to get everyone relaxed and comfortable, but also adds meaning to the photos since a home is filled with so many special memories of growing up.

Ah! How gorgeous is this family?!

Love these guys. I’ve known them for ten years, give or take, and have watched two of the kids grow up into just-about-adults, and the arrival of the littlest, who has certainly inherited his parent’s love of high-energy adventures!

It was a great time to do this session – one of these ‘kids’ has just graduated from high school, so it’s a really nice idea to get the family together for a session before they start leaving the nest and head out into the world.

The location was a place I hadn’t taken photos at before, and it was a nice discovery with a bit of an industrial feel, and it’s always a fun challenge to work in a new location!

A beautiful sunny Brisbane wedding

This was a day filled with so much sunshine, love, smiles and laughter.

Trish & Matt are a lovely couple who have some of the loveliest friends & family you could ever hope to meet. You could tell from the guest’s beaming smiles during the ceremony, and the heartfelt speeches at the reception, just how loved they are, and how pleased their loved ones were that they had found each other, and fallen in love.

We had such a relaxing day taking the bridal party photos around the beautiful grounds of the University of Queensland, and then drove the short distance to Hillstone, St Lucia for the reception. I love Trish’s dress by the way – the length, the design…just gorgeous!

Have a look through the slideshow of images below…

A sunny Sunday morning session.

There is a great place not far from me that has a nice variety of areas to photograph people in. One area involves jumping a fence and dodging the cow pats, but it’s so worth it for the golden grass on a sunny morning.

I’m so glad this family agreed to meet me so early on a chilly Sunday morning – I’m really pleased with the images we created…and I’m also pleased we didn’t get arrested for jumping the fence, or (accidentally!) setting off the alarm in the nearby building. The life of a photographer is filled with adventures!

A Byron Bay Wedding – Conan & Natalie

This wedding was held underneath a beautiful old fig tree, at the aptly name ‘Fig Tree Restaurant‘ in the hills overlooking Byron Bay. Natalie was walked down the grassy green aisle by her two handsome sons, which was followed by a lovely ceremony, personalised with Conan & Natalie’s own (quite amusing!) vows.

In typical Byron Bay style, we had blue skies interspersed with heavy downpours of  rain. They couldn’t have timed it better though – the rain cleared as guests arrived, until just after the ceremony when the entire wedding made a dash for the restaurant…and then after some mingling & congratulations, I headed outside with the wedding party for some photos just before the sun set. Natalie braved the wet ground with her gorgeous dress (thanks Natalie!) and we ducked back inside just as it started raining again! The food was fabulous, the speeches were funny & heart-felt, and then everyone danced the night away to some great music.

Natalie & Conan, thankyou for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day and allowing me to capture such special memories for you.

A gorgeous baby girl.

Savannah was such a sweetheart. So happy and cheeky and cuddly all at the same time.

We had a lovely afternoon at the park with her mum & dad – a celebration of a very special first Mother’s day for Alicia, and a beautiful record of a loving family unit.

I really am very lucky to be a part of such special times in people’s lives.
